Which Size HDTV is Right for My Room?
![]() |
With standard-definition TVs, the rule used to be that viewers would feel comfortable watching a set from a distance of 3 to 6 times the screen size in inches. With HDTV, the resolution is so much better that you can sit closer to a larger TV without noticing the pixels. So with HDTVs, the rule tends to be you can sit anywhere from 1.5 to 3 times the screen size (in inches) for the best experience.
If you know the size of the room you have already, where you want to sit, and where your new HDTV should go once you get it, you can figure out the size HDTV you should get.

Customer Review
Shopping experience:
I ordered the Panasonic TCP54G25 on Sun, 17.10, and was in my living room on Wed 21.10. As with everything I had already ordered on Amazon ordering process simple and fast. A tracking number was sent by Ceva Amazon, and then directly confirmed in an e-mail from Ceva Logistics. I expected the free shipping from Amazon on their first date was the opening Thursday, four days after my order date. I had a window of noon15 hours in and Ceva-had a certain period of time of 15 hours, were little more than an hour later, arriving shortly after 16 clock in which the two deliverymen careful treatment of the van in my living room, that when I make a leave requested. They were ready for signature when when I inspect, ask me before I asked. You said and you open the window. I gave him a quick glance to ensure that there is no damage to the screen or frame. I mean,People also say, the plug and try it before the delivery man. In reality, there is a piece delivery status, in addition to the bill that requires a signature. I certainly did not sign on the line that says it has no physical damage. There were additional lines for the initials, if the TV has a power, and a few other things I do not remember, but I can not initials. I did not ask for before leaving the thorns, and it was very good advantage of this opportunity, because it wasno physical damage. Remember, after all, free shipping, and I am grateful that they did in my living room with free shipping only on the sidewalk.
TV experience:
Two weeks after my viewing experience, I am very glad I chose this series. This TV will not win money "sexy" style LCD gain very thin. However, Epicurus, although still being set up settings for brightness and contrast below 50 (I only have the THX lowerBrightness and contrast to 50), is fantastic. DirectTV HD 1080 looks good. I also ordered a Panasonic Blu-Ray I saw Iron Man 2 and was taken away. Sports events also see sharp and clear. Family members have commented on the clarity of the image and how the colors pop. You may wonder how come with a 30-inch CRT screen when he had the TV for a couple of weeks. I look forward to being able to experiment with the settings, after the break.I also ordered the Panasonic Wi-Fi dongle with the TV I realized that it was essential for any Internet connection. VieraCast content is easy to navigate and easy when it connects to the wireless router. I have the video, Netflix, Pandora, YouTube, application time, and Amazon with no problems. I hope there will be updates and additional applications VieraCast in the future.
Buy the message:
Exactly two weeks after my purchase, I noticedThis TV is equipped with up to $ 1,299 proposed in a competing web site. This is exactly why I bought on Amazon. They agree to prices, such as television, and must, within 14 days. I just put my page and click Bill to a "lowest price" at the top of the page, clicking on the URL and TV was on the website of the competitors, the price and shipping. The next day I received an email from an Amazon customer service representative. He said I would get a credit on my interest btw $[...],,available free of charge for two years on my next bill. How Amazon is awesome!
Ordered 3 of these – all have a slight buzz – Erik Pettee – Salt Lake City, UT
Many comments on this topic, I will not go into too much detail about the features, etc. But the main problem I have is with the screen at the back of a buzz. Some are not here, 10 meters, but I think if the volume is low. I have rarely, however, content with the volume so low that it is not just a nuisance more than knowing that we are listening and navigating through the menus.
I went to three of them – two of Amazon, another local source, allhe had heard the same total.
That is, is without doubt the best advertisement for the money. In my opinion, LCD / LED screen sucks compared to this. The picture is great and by far the hum problem.
They are also more than 5500 m above sea level, so in addition to money demand.
Purchase. E '* almost * perfect.
