Syntax Olevia LT32HVM 32-Inch HD-Ready Flat-Panel LCD TV Specifications
Amazon.com Product Description Time to update your old-technology CRT TV? Zoom into the future with the 32-in ch Olevia LT32HVX flat-panel LCD TV, which is HDTV-ready. It incorporates the latest v ideo processing technology–Syntax’s iDEA–as well as the enhanced iDIVA virtual surro und sound processing. More than just a high-quality TV, the set’s PC inputs also make it equally suitable for home offices. It offers a black cabinet with speakers integrat ed in each side and a removable table-top stand; it’s wall-mountable with an optional kit (VESA-compatible–100 x 200). It features a built-in, 181-channel NTSC tuner and c an receive high-definition (ATSC) broadcasts from an optional HD receiver.
This LCD TV provides a 1280 x 720-pixel native resolution for a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio for optimal letterbox movie watching and compatibility with 1080i/720p/480p/480 i video formats. It also offers an extra-wide 170-degree viewing angle, fast 12ms (mil lisecond) response time, 700 cd/m2 (candela per square meter) brightness rating, and 7 50:1 contrast ratio. (The higher the contrast ratio, the greater a TV’s ability to dis play subtle color details and not get washed out by ambient room light.)
The LT32HVS performs 3:2 pulldown detection and reversal, too–a handy feature for wat ching progressive-scan movie programs in their native 24-frame format. To adapt 24 fra mes-per-second movies to 30 fps video, frames in the original movie must be duplicated ; 3:2 pulldown digitally corrects this duplication by removing the redundant informati on to display a frame-accurate picture. A 3D comb filter further enhances resolution b y removing blurred edges between colors and reducing dot crawl (tiny, moving dots of c olor along a sharp color separation in a vertical line, as in a depiction of a charact er’s striped T-shirt). It provides PIP and split screen functionality between two diff erent video sources. Other convenience features include selectable aspect ratio (4:3, 16:9), channel return, favorite channel, closed captioning, clock/alarm, sleep timer, and V-Chip parental controls.
The 20-watt stereo audio system (two 10-watt speakers) delivers ample sound for sports and movies. The iDIVA virtual surround sound provides you with several easily adjusta ble settings that simulate an array of audio environments. It offers the following con nection options:
- Composite AV (RCA): 2 in
- S-Video: 2 in
- Component video: 2 in
- DVI: 1 in
- PC VGA: 1 in
- RF: 1 in
- Analog audio (RCA, L/R): 1 out
- Audio inputs: AV/S-Video x 2, Component x 2, Mini – Stereo Jack x 1

| Maintains overall picture quality by providing consistent, balanced color levels to control shades of gradation in dark or bright image scenes. |
Virtually eliminates jagged edges from traditional interlaced video formats by creating refined edges around the objects on the screen. |
Advanced CTI / LTI algorithm improves color shifts and minimizes any type of shadowing or ghosting effects and increases sharpness and detail of pictures. |

Extends certain “gray levels” to black within a picture to define details lost. |
Analyzes and limits the amplitude of white frequencies, that can distort images resulting in a faded or washed-out appearance during bright scenes. |

Takes whole picture and analyzes the intensity of primary and secondary colors to match that of brightness and contrast. The result is a balanced image of colors. |
iDEA Technology incorporates a high performance Digital Sound Processor (DSP). Through DSP’s circuitry, the audio-to-video phases are analyzed and matched to prevent “lip-sync” inconsistency. |

Customer Review
This LCD TV is very good for what you pay, usually regret it when you make a purchase. I've had for over 6 months and have had only one problem. I said no to 5 stars because of the lack of HDMI port. And '1080i / 720p/480.
Against – 1 – No HDMI port
2 – Speakers on TV not to go second
(It should not be a problem with a surround sound system)
3 – The remote is ok (economics)
Besides these drawbacks, the main TV andThey should not be disappointed.
My husband loves this TV – Kelly Woo – San Diego
I am not an expert at all, then I can not talk about many aspects of this TV. I can say is that it provides a clear picture and is very attractive on my wall. My husband loves this TV.
Now I owned a 0 piece of junk! – C. Wu –
I agree that Olevia LCD good enough for the price, if it works. But I will warn you of their quality. (A lot of people have quality problems with Olevia to read other people's orders)
I had a similar LCD TV Olevia since June 2005. A week before when the screen is still black, but audio-set, so I know it is not the cable. I turned off and then back on. I have a quick blue screen then the screen goes black when once again.
I called technical support, and discoveredI probably need a new LCD screen that cost me ~ $ 500 because the warranty had expired go.
I spend ~ $ 800 for the set and it worked for a year and a half, I do not think is a good value, right?
So before you waste your money on the set asked if it is a good value if it breaks in just over a year!
This is a brand new, so when I bought the set, it is not until the TV last report, knowing what I know now, Ispend a little 'more and get a different brand. Now I had a $ 800 piece of junk!
