Customer Review

I have owned this 32-inch Sharp Aquos LCD TV for over a year and a half and am still impressed with him. However, consumers should focus on their particular needs, since their needs could match mine.

Resolution –
First, it is a 720p resolution screen. But as a 32-inch screen, this resolution is more than enough. Viewing distance is important with this TV. I place the end of my bed, about 10 yards from where I usually forTelevision. The image is from this AMAZING away. However, when the foot of my bed (just 3 meters or less from the screen) sit, I see a great pixelation. There are several websites, the correct viewing distance for each screen size and resolution can be calculated. Recommend the use of these calculations the choice of an LCD TV, since most shops in these "small town" HDTV is on islands where it is to be within 3 meters on the screen, giving a distortedPerspective on how the screen actually look like inside your house. I propose that we consider finding a place where you can stand the correct distance between the screen and image quality.

Contrast Ratio –
While Sharp may have a lower contrast ratio than its competitors, remember that most of its competitors, "" use dynamic contrast as a baseline. Such means with digital images, this means that when you use the area "dynamic images"Stretch" (with pixels darker than the brightest contrast). I must admit that the Sharp Aquos is a terrible Dynamic Range. Like most dynamic range settings, LCD TV, makes light of every bright color (which would be nice if you watch football and want to see the astro-grass greenest of the green, but it is nice to see when you see a drama or action films are). The advantage of the Sharp Aquos is that the setting "standard contrast is exponentially betteras "dynamic" setting one of its competitors. It offers a true experience of colors (more like a well adjusted CRT TVs still like high-definition) without Hyper-contrast colors and shades of HDTV.

Mode –
The Sharp Aquos has a half dozen pre-programmed exposure modes, including "standard" (which I prefer for most purposes) and "Movie" (soft gold tones that you would expect from an experience theatrical, like the old Kodachrome film would be). Each presetcan be edited and saved as the preferred modality for a single page with detailed options. This means you may be able to develop the "Movies" set personal preferences, and then save the default setting for watching DVDs. If you pop in a DVD that will be used automatically by default. But if you observe changes in cable television, the Sharp Aquos is automatically adjusted, leading to associate different display mode you chose to go to the input. There is also the "User"(Custom) mode, and a "game" (high contrast) mode, and the other two "dynamic" mode functions.

There is also a unique opportunity to OPC (stored as a preference for one of the display mode described above). Reads the ambient light in your room and adjusts the backlight accordingly. I like this because it saves energy and adds hours / days / months to the life of your TV (the bulb burns out at the end – faster, if it is at its bestThe setting of all time without OPC). Indeed, in a film have darkened room, I noticed I blinded by the brightness of this screen, if not back to OPC. It 'amazing how bright the screen is not yet (need to be all the time).

INPUTS –
I have a HD-DVR connected to Verizon FIOS using an HDMI cable. Verizon's HD broadcasts in 1080, and 480 standard definition TV but this TV only shows 480 (native) or 720 (recalculated fromVerizon 1080). The Sharp Aquos is able to quickly detect and convert any signal to the proper resolution in approximately 1.5 seconds after switching channels between HD and standard definition (480-1080) and offers amazing clear images of the bottom sample of HDTV signals . I am always amazed at the HD picture on this TV, including action-packed movies and TV shows with fast motion.

Note that most cable companies upgrade their HD broadcasts in 720(The native resolution of the TV), so you do not need Verizon / Fios to achieve this goal of quality.

I connected a PS2 to this television. When I connected the cable with standard composite video (the red, white and yellow cable) E 'was horrible. However, the PS2 itself from the cable hooked "component from the video games seem almost movie-like. I was very impressed.

I have a regular DVD player (not up-sample), combined withSharp Aquos from "component video cable. The output is exceptionally smooth.

I also plugged my iPod Classic in this TV with composite-to-iPod cable (available online, but most of these cables sold separately). For down-sample video (video iPod, which was intended only for the iPod screen), these images were sub-par HDTV Aquos. However, to buy the video in HD on iTunes, the image on the Aquos is amazing.
<br/> Sound –
My wife and I have been through the complaints about the Sharp Aquos speakers on board have been surprised. We see our TV room within a relatively small, and the sound board of a Q-regular basis image, the special effects are coming from outside the home. The sound quality also depends on the input. I noticed that the best sound out of my HDMI inputs. I have a surround sound system 5 speakers from time to time with this set Aquos (audio output is easilyaccess to TV), but we have some reasons to it, unlike the actual use was blockbuster sci-fi or action movies. Most of the time we use the speakers on board and keep the volume on the set about a quarter of total production. This is much stronger. Far beyond, and we are to our ears (and possibly damage the speakers).

OVERVIEW –
A great HDTV for a room of medium size, if recipients 8 to 10 feet away from the screen. Do not worry about the"Dynamic contrast ratio. HDTV is better in" Standard "mode (" realistic "than any HDTV I've seen). If you want an HDTV with true-tones and a versatile menu for the average user, I recommend this TV. If you do not believe me, go into any store and compare the true colors of the Sharp Aquos all its competitors. This test is what ultimately sold us on this TV.'ll see what I mean.

Not happy with this purchase – Stephanie Manley – Houston, TX
I bought this TV a few months ago, and had a problem since day one with the brightness of color. My screen no matter what is in AV mode, it is dark, then light. If it is a night scene, only grows dark and you do not see anything. So I thought, this is not correct, and Sharp came out to fix my TV. So far, they put in a new tab, and did not get better. I called again to say Hey Sharp, the TV still does not work properly, and they told me to adjust my audio controls. So thisis not effective, and basically you can not watch TV at different AV mode.

I was one of Sharp Represenative in this older generation of TV said the TV attempts to contrast himself, and basically it is sometimes wrong, and you just put up. You do not like now, but if you have an older model, too bad. Seriously? I think the smell of photos on your TV, if you view a DVD, gaming, watching TV orThis problem affects all the time. I will not buy much, another product of Sharp even before I ever waste products other model.

My advice if you really want to get a Sharp television, is preparing a new generation or the contrast will have problems and never really see a night scene again on your TV.
